Mother's Day

Mother's Day was lovely. Philip's parents came for a visit so we were able to celebrate with them as well. Noah and Jonathan gave me a sweet Cardinal tea light holder. Cardinals are very rare here so it is a nice reminder of Missouri. Philip gave me some pretty pink carnations. I love carnations because they last so long. My mother-in-law gave me a beautiful plant which I plan on putting in a pot outside once it warms up. Philip cooked steaks on the grill and my in-laws brought lobster. We had a yummy feast! I am thankful to be a Mommy and I am thankful for my wonderful Mom and Mother-in-law.

I have seen a cardinal in Fredericton this spring, and we have been seranaded by one here in Kanata (I am visiting
Anne right now), and actually saw him in a big pine tree in the neighbour's yard yesterday. They are such beautiful birds, and have a lovely song.
