PEI, Day 2

My day started early with a trip to Tim Hortons in Kensington, and then on to Red Sands Golf Course to tee off before 7:00. I hadn't golfed yet this year, so I was a little rusty. After 9 holes, I ended up with a 50, and was back to the cottage as the rest of the family was finishing breakfast. The boys and I headed out for a bike ride while Sydonyia enjoyed some peace and quiet. We biked about 2 1/2 km on one of PEI's famous red dirt roads, down to the beach, and then back. Great exercise and great scenery. After lunch, we headed into Summerside to stock up on groceries and do some shopping. Supper at Pizza Delight (kids eat free Tuesdays!!) before heading back to the cottage for a quiet evening.
Did I mention I brought some reading along? I'm on an Arthur C. Clarke streak at the moment: finishing 2001: A Space Odyssey, and I also have checked out from the library the sequels, 2010: Odyssey Two and 2061. And a book of short stories, Wind from the Sun. Go ahead and open the Pod Bay door, Hal. Other light reading I brought consists of several DC comics anthologies: Batman, Superman, Justice League, etc. Now, I'm not usually a comic book guy, but these were thick voumes on the book sale table at the library for $1 each. It's definitely a break from my regular reading.
