Sydonyia blogged back in August about our trip to Bucksport, Maine -- our camera was having problems, so we didn't have any pictures or video from the trombone concert or our visit with Jen & Jon. Well, I did grab a picture on my phone of the church building where the concert was held. And although we don't have any video from the concert, there was one song that I wanted to share. We played a recent composition called "A Song for Japan" by Steven Verhelst and it is gorgeous. The song was composed to aid in fund-raising efforts in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that occurred in March of this year. So, though I'm not in this video, have a listen to these guys from another trombone festival playing the song:
